Alright, enough with the bitching already.
Of course you won't die if you pig out on something for a meal or even a day, but those of you who have said "F&%k Tony and his damn Paleo, I'm going to eat something I want" have, to a person, told me that the next day you felt bad, physically, or that your gross self indulgence wasn't nearly as satisfying as you'd expected.
Not only that but those who've fallen completely off the wagon have put back on weight lost during the Lockdown.
How bad does that suck?
Which brings us to Sensible Cheats. Little niceties of life that you can use to reward and encourage yourself thru those dark times when you forget, somehow, that being a healthy, lean athlete-in-training is your real first priority. Silly people...
Mark Sisson at Mark's Daily Apple is a very smart guy and knows about these things. Chocolate, wine, tequila and, yes, cheese are OK in his book and I have to agree. He even lists a recipe for a decent Energy Bar. As Mark says, though, make it sensible. You don't have to live without but keep in mind what's important.
