This is another brilliant post on diet at Byers Gets Diesel. Melissa's gone thru a lot of research, experimentation, trial and error, to come to a really good place with her eating. In a nutshell;
*Eating well requires some effort, which is OK since it's so important.
*Study, ask questions, be willing to change what you're doing.
*Baby steps are good but you have to constantly re-evaluate and upgrade. (Put down the bagel and step away.)
*Basic principles always apply but you have to adjust as you continue to change.
*You're the expert of yourself. Take charge.
*Make small changes and stick with them long enough to see the results. Be Patient.
Those of you who've made some changes in your eating have seen results ranging from modest to amazing. Modest improvements may just need tweeking or more time. Stay with it. Amazing changers, don't get complacent. Keep your journals current and stay tuned in. Still struggling? Let's take a look at what you're doing and figure it out.
With the BodPod as a new tool, you'll be able to test and get a baseline BF number that will help you along the diet part of your training path. It's not magic but it will give us another way to dial in your overall training getting you to where you want to be.
Please don't lose sight of the fact that eating is a pleasure to enjoy. Sometimes we an get lost in the minutiae of it all. Don't. Ya gotta eat but you should be able to look forward to it.
